LAUSD Fall 2021 Reopening
by Karen Huang
After nearly a year and a half of logging into zoom to complete virtual learning, students were finally able to return to in-person classes. LAUSD schools fully reopened for in-person instruction after over a year of virtual and hybrid learning. The return to normality for public schools in the Los Angeles regions has arrived. During the first day of in-person learning, students were waiting in long lines. With the high volume of students returning to campus, the Daily Pass website experienced a prolonged glitch. The glitch caused many students to be late for advisory, as lines were long. The purpose of the Daily Pass is to conduct self-reported, daily health checks and for students to demonstrate proof that their negative test is on record.
